The technical program will cover four main topic areas each covering various themes. Plenary sessions, Research oral presentations, Research poster presentations and Industrial Applications papers will be held each day.

The WCPT4 technical program starts on Monday July 22 and runs four days, commencing at 0830 each day. A variety of presentation formats have been included: invited plenary lectures, invited symposia sessions, oral communication sessions (selected from submitted abstracts), and posters.

In keeping with the practice at previous meetings, all invited presentations have been selected by the Program Organising Committee. At WCPT4 this includes the topics and speakers for the plenary lectures, research oral and poster sessions.

The daily program outline is based on the following format on each of the four days:
